The Lesser of Two Evils

This painting took longer than they usually do.  My time has been sucked away, and I can't even remember how.

I don't like it.

There's also the fact that I was afraid I would ruin the background, which turned out so unexpectedly cool (excuse me for patting myself on the back...gross).
For this reason I postponed adding anything to it as long as I could.  For me, a week is a long time to let an art piece sit.

Taking forever to finish a project is not something I can easily forgive myself for.
Ruining a picture is worse, though, so I chose the lesser of two evils.

I haven't been doing a whole lot of surrealism these days, and it feels really good to get a little bit back in touch with it.

You can see the sketch for this painting in my post from the other day.

I also made a post including the underpainting, in which I talk a little bit about using gravity instead of a paintbrush.
